Portlaoise AC’s St Patrick’s Day 5K road race around the streets of Portlaoise. The course is a fast relatively flat course with a town centre finish. It is also the first of the new Peugeot Road Race series.
Athletes who enter as junior athletes (at junior rate) are only eligible for junior prizes

Race HQ is the Midlands Park Hotel in the centre of Portlaoise, where numbers can be collected on the day from 9am.

Below is some information to help you make the most of the event:
• What time does the race start?
The race will start at 11am sharp
• Where does the race start and finish?
The race starts on the R445, just beyond "Centrepoint Portlaoise", the old shopping centre. It finishes at the bottom of the main street, approximately 1km from the start.

• Where do I collect my race number?
Number pick up is available from 9am at the Midlands Park Hotel. There will be cash entry (20e) taken on the morning also. And a limited number of tshirts will be available to purchase for 15e
• Where can I park?
Midlands Park Hotel, Laois Co.Co, Lyster Square, Kea Lew business Park. All are within walking distance from the start line.
• Will the course be marked?
The race route will be clearly marked and marshalled along the way and there will be markers at each Kilometer.
• What prizes will be awarded?
Cash Prizes will be awarded as follows for males & females

Yes, there will be teas and coffees served in the Midlands park hotel from approximately 11:45, all welcome
• When will the results be available?
As the race is chip-timed, your result will be available straight away and full results will be available online on https://www.popupraces.ie/race/streets-of-portlaoise-2023/
• Are the kids races on this year?
And the good news is U/9 u/11 and u/14. Registration in the Midlands Park Hotel from 9o'clock. €3.00 for one child or €5.00 for 2 and there will of course be the usual Easter egg on Registration and medal at the finish line. Children will be brought to startline or advised where to go on Registration.
