Leevale AC have been strong supporters of our race series since its incorporation, and at the Cork City 10km, they took home the mens, womens and team prizes in a dominant display of running from the local club.
Host club St Finbarrs AC welcomed almost 1,000 runners to the capital for what has become one of the country’s biggest 10km road races for a race that had sold out weeks in advance. And this was without what would have been a considerable St Finbarrs AC entry, with club members opting out of racing the event, and instead volunteering for the morning. A race is nothing without its volunteers, so well done to all for what really was a true club effort to deliver this wonderful event.

As the Peugeot Race Series moves towards its conclusion for 2025 (Charleville Half Marathon will be the final race of the year), it was fitting that long time supports of the series, Leevale AC, had race winners in Ryan Creech (29:37) and Niamh Allen (31:58), two top class performances. The mixed team also won the €1,000 team prize courtesy of Peugeot Ireland.
Creech finished 20s clear of Killian Mooney of DSD, with Gavin O Rourke (also Leevale) completing the podium.
Niamh Allen was dominant in the women’s race, almost 3 minutes clear of Dee Grady in second, with Jessica Coyne in 3rd.
