Due to the high number of deferrals and switches to virtual, we have capacity to take entries on the day. €20 or €30 with a tshirt. Come to the registration tent from 8:15 if you want to jump in!

NOTE:  THERE IS NO ON THE DAY ENTRY FOR THIS EVENT. ALL ENTRIES INCLUDE NUMBER POSTAGE, SO YOUR NUMBER WILL BE SENT TO YOUR ADDRESS ON RACE WEEK

Please read the following information carefully ahead of the event. If we havent answered your questions below, our default answer is "Come to the van by the finish line on Saturday morning and we'll get you sorted!"

Firstly, An Post are experiencing staff shortages which they have advised is delaying their services. If your race number / pack has not arrived by tomorrow evening, don't worry, we'll have spare numbers available on the day (see default answer above!).

Secondly, if you have selected a virtual or have advised us you are switching to virtual, there is no requirement to submit your time to us. We will post your medal next week.

Half Marathon Start Times:

• 9am
• 11:30am
• 2pm

• We ask that you arrive no earlier than 45 minutes before your race starts.
• Due to ongoing works in the Park, the Main entrance is closed. Entry to the carpark is through the entrance opposite the Faraway Tee Cafe, which is approximately 100m down the road from the main entrance. You go through a stone arch and follow the road down to the car park.
• From the carpark, you are walking past the new toilets and down towards the Castle, where you will see our Van & Tent as well as portaloos.
• The start line is approximately 8 mins walk from the castle
• There is no bag drop, so belongings should be left in your car and are left at your own risk
• The route is 4 (and a bit) loops of a path in the forest. Each junction will have a sign directing you what direction to run, and there will be a lead bike to bring participants around on lap 1.
• As it is a public park, we want to keep it as clean as possible. With that in mind, we will have a "WATER ZONE" in operation, where you can grab a bottle and drink it over a 400m stretch before discarding of it. This means you will have the opportunity to take water on every 5km. You can also carry your own water if you wish.
• Anybody seen littering in the forest will be immediately disqualified and asked to step off the course.
• To reduce the chances to congregate, we are asking that on completion of your run, you take your goodie bag and head for your car. There will be no tees or coffees this year, however there is a cafe on site should you wish to get one afterwards.
• As we advise every year, don't pay too much attention to your GPS which could have you running anything between 20km & 22km depending on the brand! The course has been officially measured and is accurate.
