The Tullamore Harriers AC 5k Road Race returns on Sunday 13th March 2022 at 10am.

 

This is the first race in the 2022 Offaly Road Race Series.

 

On the day registration will be available at Harriers Club from 08.30am

 

Entry fee €10 plus booking fee.

Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishers, Male & Female.

Age category prizes for 1st O40, 1st O45, 1st O50, 1st O60 and 1st O70.

*Juniors must be over 16 years and under 20 years. A junior can score on a club team.

Thank you for registering for the Tullamore Harriers 5k Road Race – Round 1 of the Offaly 5k Road Race series 2022
Below is some information to help you make the most of the event.
• What time does the race start?
The race will start at 10am sharp with runners escorted to the start line (just outside the stadium grounds) at 09.45am.
• Where does the race start and finish?
The race starts on Charleville Road, 300m from the front gate (town side) of Tullamore Harriers club grounds -Eircode: R35 CK22, and finishes in the Tullamore Harriers stadium with a lap of the track.
• Where do I collect my race number?
Unless you have already paid to have it posted, race numbers can be collected at registration in the Harriers clubhouse on the morning of the race from 8.30am. You can register online until 8am on Sunday morning.
**For Offaly club members -please save your race number and use at each race in the series. This will prevent delays having to pick up a new race number at each race. A charge of €2.30 will be charged for replacement**
If you already have your race number you do not need to activate it before you race. Just go straight to the start line.
• Where can I park?
There will be ample free parking available in the grounds of the Tullamore Harriers Stadium. To facilitate an efficient car parking system, please enter via Charleville Road and exit via the back gate (Spollanstown Road)
• Will the roads be closed?
There will be road closures along the route which provides huge safety and comfort for our athletes -but please follow the instructions of the Gardai and race marshals and be mindful that safety is paramount for all involved.
• Will the course be marked?
The race route will be clearly marked and marshalled along the way and there will be markers at each Kilometer.
• Are there toilets & showers available?
Yes there are toilets, changing rooms, showers available on-site at Harriers Stadium.
• What prizes will be awarded?
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
1st €100; 2nd €70; 3rd €50 – Male and Female
1st o40 €50; 1st o50 €50; 1st o60 €50, 1st o70 €50 – Male and Female.
1st Junior €30
• When and where will the presentations take place?
The prize giving will take place immediately after the race in the stadium green area.
Due to the ongoing Covid safety measures we will not be having our post race refreshments as previous years. All athletes will receive a drink and some fruit at the finish line.
• When will the results be available?
As the race is chip-timed, your result will be available straight away and full results will be available online soon after the race ends on popupraces.ie
