We are proud to be back for our fifth year of the Ros Run.

 

We will give participants the opportunity to see Roscommons beauty, from our castle, our park, our forest, lakes and breath taking views .

 

We are organising a 10km, half marathon and a full marathon again this year.

 

Water stations will be provided on the course and at the finish line along with hot food for all participants after the race.

START TIMES:

Marathon – 8am

Half – 8am

10k – 11am

All finishers will receive a t-shirt and a medal.

Please read all the important information below regarding race day.

Race headquarters is at Hannon Hotel
- F42 PH33. All 3 start lines are within a 5mins walk.

•Race start times; mandatory race brief will be held in Hannons hotel car park 15mins before start time.
-Full marathon - 8am
-Half marathon - 8am
-10km - 11am

•VERY IMPORTANT: You must display your race number to collect your tshirt on the morning of the race in Hannons Hotel.

• If you have not received your race number in the post before the event, don't panic, go to the ladies in the registration area and they will assign you a new number.

• Our event is held on public roads so always be mindful of other road users.

• All runners are required to run on the LEFT HAND SIDE of the road as requested by the Gardai. Anyone running on the right hand side will receive an automatic DNF

• This is a leave-no-trace event. Anyone found littering will automatically receive a DNF. Bins will be provided at water stations so please use all bins provided and do not litter our beautiful countryside. If there are no bins in the area when you need it, please leave your bottles or gel wrappers beside our signage for collection and DO NOT THROW YOUR RUBBISH IN THE SURROUNDING FIELDS.

• Be courteous to other runners and wheelchair users. If runners want to overtake, please don't obstruct them.

•All participants are asked to be there a minimum of 45mins before their chosen distance start time. Please leave sufficient time for parking, warming up, collecting your tshirt, get to the briefing and get to the start line.

• Tea and coffee will be provided before and after the event as well as hot food after you cross the finish line. You will receive a meal voucher at the finish line with your medal.

•Limited parking is available at Hannons Hotel. We have been given permission by the Gardai to park in the housing estates close by but DO NOT block any entrances and leave enough space for other vehicles to use the road safely. Failing to do this, your vehicle will be clamped or removed.

•Toilets available in the reception area in  Hannons hotel and also portaloos will be available in the car park of Hannon Hotel.

• Please respect all directions from marshals, as without all these wonderful people, our race wouldn't be possible.
