The Great Heath Run is back for 2026, and will be held on January 18th, the third Sunday of January.
There will be 5K and 10K options, both chip timed, over the usual course on quiet country roads.
For 2026, as in 2025, a percentage of each race fee will be contributed to a local charity (TBC)
The Heath GAA Club, R32 HF72, will be available for parking, changing rooms, toilets, showers and of course, our now famous post-race refreshments.

Hi,
Firstly, we'd like to welcome everyone to our 10K and 5K race. We hope you'll have an enjoyable day's racing, no matter what the chip time says! Here are some race information details below.
1. The 10K race starts at 11am. Please be at the start line from 10.40am onwards. Sub 45 mins runners will start at the front of the race.
2. The 5K race will start at 11.20am. Again please arrive 20 mins before the race start time. The 5K race is a 2.5km loop of the 10km route.
3. If you're very early, you might get parking in the GAA clubhouse but the easier option is to park on the heath itself. Post race, access the Dublin road via the golf club/school road.
4. Online/late registrations take place in the gym at the back of the clubhouse (attached to the ball wall). Once you are registered you can wait in the clubhouse hall if needs be. The clubhouse hall is only available for refreshments post race. Where possible, refreshments should be prioritised for 10K/5K runners. IF YOU HAVE NOT RECIVED YOUR NUMBER BY POST YOU CAN GET A SPARE FROM THE REGISTRATION AREA ON THE DAY
5. The 10K and 5K prize giving ceremony will take place at the ball wall at 12.30pm with our sponsors Green Feet Lawncare. Cash prizes for 1st/2nd/3rd for both male and female 5K/10K.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!
Regards,
Great Heath 10K Committee
