The Gingerbread Run is back at its new home in Donadea Forest in Co. Kildare.

The event will consist of 3 x 10k races, at 9:30am, 11:30am and 1:30pm, and promises to be an event not to be missed!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Gingerbread Run without a Bobble hat and your medal, so all participants will get these and more goodies besides.

Note: no refunds after 21/10/25. No deferrals

Please read the following information carefully ahead of Saturdays event:

If we havent answered your questions below, our default answer is "Come to the van by the finish line on Saturday morning and we'll get you sorted!"

  • We ask that you arrive no earlier than 35 minutes before your race starts. The barrier will be up from 8:45am-9:15am, 10:45am-11:15am and 12:45pm to 1:15pm. OUTSIDE OF THESE TIMES, YOU WILL NEED TO PAY €5 TO ACCESS THE FOREST
  • CARPOOL CARPOOL CARPOOL CARPOOL!! We are requesting that you carpool where possible. Parking is limited on Saturday.
  • The Venue is Donadea Forest Park
  • From the carpark, you are walking past the new toilets and down towards the Castle, where you will see our Van & Tent as well as portaloos.
  • There will be 8 portaloos on site for the event. We will keep them stocked with loo roll, but we ask that you take personal responsibility to keep them useable throughout the event!
  • There is no bag drop, so belongings should be left in your car and are left at your own risk
  • As it is a public park, we want to keep it as clean as possible. Anybody seen littering in the forest will be immediately disqualified and asked to step off the course.
  • On completion of the race, you will be given your medal, a delicious gingerbread muffin and your beanie hat. Water is available courtesy of Refill Ireland.
  • First male & female in each race will receive a small commemorative trophy.
  • The RACE MC will be on site to help get you around with his fun music & commentary, and Sweaty Snaps will be the official photographers on the day.
  • As we advise at every event in the forest, don't worry about your GPS too much, A loop is exactly 5k, and you will be doing 2!
  • We will not have pacers, there will be a lead bike leading you around and along with some marshals on the course. The route is available to preview on the route tab on this webpage
  • Results are available in live time on www.popupraces.ie
