Detailed Instructions Below:
Swords CFR Santa 5k and 10k Run 2016
5k Run is one circuit and the 10k is 2 circuits.
The course is 5000m (5K) long. The course is in Malahide Castle grounds, Dublin and run on a mixture of tarmac paths and gravel/dirt paths. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.
Course Description
The meeting place and finish are at the top of the pedestrian avenue beside the bridge field. After the briefing, we walk over to the start, which is beside the tennis courts. The course goes clockwise around the golf course doing one complete lap. After another half lap of the golf course, it turns left onto the larger lap. This goes through the trees and after crossing a pedestrian path from the Swords road entrance, turns right onto a gravel path through more trees. At the furthest point out on the course, it turns right onto a long section through the woods and follows the perimeter path back towards the golf course and the tennis courts. After heading up the slight incline from the start (for the third time), the course turns left to get to the finish for the 5K and will repeat the course for the 10k race.
Facilities
- Parking: Free parking is available in the overflow car park to the rear of the main carpark (adjacent to the playground)
