Back To Race List

The Seeley Cup is one of the longest running 10ks in Northern Ireland having been going since 1982. It commemorates an outstanding and popular local athlete, Joe Seeley of Willowfield Harriers who passed away at a young age.

The annual 10k race attracts a top-class field every year. The race follows a relatively flat route along the Ormeau Embankment and winds through Ormeau Park.

Entries are capped at 1000 and will close once this is reached.

Start time: 2:30pm

Entry fees: £22 for affiliated members and £24 for non-affiliated members. Entrants must be aged 15 up.

Start and Finish: Starts on the Ormeau Embankment and finishes in Ormeau Park, Belfast

Pack Collection: Pack collection will take place at the following:

  • Pre-Race – Thursday 27th November 1pm-8pm in the Les Jones Room, Athletics NI Offices, Mary Peters Track
  • Race Day – Saturday 29th November at the Ozone from 12pm to 2pm.  Inside the building and up the stairs to the left

All club entries will be grouped together – If you are a member of a club, one member must be designated to collect and will be given all their club’s race numbers. This individual must sign in to state they have their clubs’ numbers. This person will then be responsible for getting the numbers to their club mates.

We strongly advice that all local Greater Belfast Area Clubs avail of the pre-race day pack collection to help avoid large queues on race day.

Note: we do understand that sending one person may not be possible but if you can arrange it, we do appreciate it as it will allow for a smoother Pack Collection.

Refunds and Name Changes

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds and entries cannot be deferred.  The deadline for name changes will be Friday 7th November – no name changes will be allowed after this date.
