Come and join us for the first of what we hope will become the annual Newbridge RFC Family Fun Run on Sunday 8th March 2020 which will take place on the Curragh plains in Kildare.

 

We will have a chipped 5k run and unchipped Kiddies 1k Dash (u12’s).

 

The race will start and finish at the Green Road Army Rugby Grounds at 10.00am.

 

There will be medals for all finishers and a prizes for the best Male, Female and u18’s times.

 

There will be bananas and water at the finish and lots of refreshments and treats provided afterwards.

 

Come run or walk our 5k route – suitable for all ages & abilities. Get involved and support our rugby community – we hope to see you on the 8th!

  • Numbers can be collected on the evening before in the Newbridge RFC clubhouse in Rosetown from 18.00 – 19.30 or on the morning of the race between 08.30 – 09.30 at the race HQ (Army Rugby Grounds)
  • Car parking is limited so we would encourage participants to car pool

 

Please register early to avail of our online rates. On the day registration prices will increase to:

 

  • Adults:        EUR20.00
  • Family:       EUR45.00
  • U18:           EUR15.00
  • Child 1k:     EUR7.50

Race day details are as follows:

  • Registration and number pick up will be available at the following times and places: 

  • Please note that on the day registration prices are higher than online registration prices. Online registration will remain open until 8am on Sunday morning so if you know of friends/families wishing to attend please encourage them to register online. On the day entry prices are:
    • Adults: EUR20.00
    • Family: EUR45.00
    • U18: EUR15.00
    • Child 1k: EUR7.50

 

  • Please bring this email with you to collect your race number (on your phone will suffice - no need to print).

  • Parking available in the rugby grounds on the Curragh, however, parking will be limited so car pooling is encouraged where possible. 

 

  • Race Starts approx 5-10 mins walk from Curragh Rugby grounds. Please allow time to get to the start line. 

 

  • Race route is available to view HERE. 

  • Races start at 10.00am sharp.

  • Children must be supervised on the race route at all times.  

 

  • As this race takes place on public roads, we would ask that earphones are not worn while running. Please also pay attention to race stewards - they are there for your safety.

  • Post race refreshements will be served in the Curragh Rugby Grounds clubhouse.
