Mondello24

The Jeep Mondello 24 is an exciting 24-hour endurance cycling challenge that takes place in the unique setting of our famed international race circuit.

Now in its sixth year, the 2026 edition of Mondello24 takes place starting at midday on June 20th, cycling through the night into the dawn on the 21st with a midday finish.

Our biggest & fastest event yet took place in 2025, the camaraderie and truly unique atmosphere of Mondello24 making it such an epic journey for the more than 100 teams and over 440 riders who raised funds for charities, took on personal challenges, and aimed to beat previous times.

While leading riders achieved impressive feats in 2025 (the winning team covered a record 912km), Mondello24 is an event for all levels of cyclists, male or female, solo or team.  For the majority of riders, it is about challenging themselves and pushing their personal limits to new heights.

Whether you are an experienced endurance cyclist or a novice looking for a new challenge, Jeep Mondello24 has a category to suit all levels of riders.  You can break down the challenge by taking it on with club mates and tackle the race as part of an 8, 4 or 2 rider team (5,6 & 7 riders allowed to compete in the 8-rider category), or you can take on the ultimate challenge and complete the 24 hours as a solo entry. This is an event for those who not only want to test their physical and mental strength but also want to share the experience with others and meet new people in the process.

It’s More Than a Race

Does your Cycling Club have what it takes to become the next record breaker?

While the goal of most teams & riders taking on Mondello24 is to ‘Complete’ rather than ‘Compete’, for those who do want to push the limits of their club’s best riders, the gauntlet was laid down by members of Comeragh Cycling Club in 2025 as they achieved a new record of 263 laps (912Km) over the 24-hours. It was a truly impressive performance by David Halligan, David Howell, Padraig Walsh and Martin O’Brien, they beat the previous record of Galway CC, set in 2024, by 3-laps.  We also witnessed new records set by both our 2025 Solo Champions, Brian Taffee covering 229 laps while UK visitor Jill Somerville took the Female title with 200 laps completed.

Practice makes perfect

Not sure how to start training for this event?  It’s easy, we will provide you with a guide to getting from seat to saddle from January to get you & your team ready for the Jeep Mondello 24 with tips & advice from some of our seasoned pros with a series of practice evenings where you get to experience the track and meet fellow riders prepping for this unique event.

The Jeep Mondello24 can be undertaken as an individual or as a team.  As well as crowning overall champions, we will also crown female champions for all four categories – solo, 2-rider, 4-rider and 8-rider.  In the 4 and 8 rider categories, there will be a classification for mixed teams and a Masters category for 4-rider teams comprising riders all aged 50+ (born in or before 1976).  All teams (Male, Female, Mixed & Masters) are eligible to be crowned overall champions.  For trophies to be awarded, each category must have a minimum of three eligible starters.
