Please read the following information carefully to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible on the day.
  • The 5k fun starts at 9:30am sharp from the green pitch area across the Papal Cross. (HERE)
    • Parking is available in the Papal Cross Car Park, but it is limited. So we ask that you car pool or travel by Public Transport to the park where possible. Additional parking can be found HERE (10 minute walk to reg area)
  • Number pick up and registration on the morning will take place in the Entertainment area from 8:15am  (HERE)
  • The course is a two loop course from alongside the Acres road, on paths down towards the Magazine fort, and back around. There will be a lead bike and marshals so please follow their instructions
  • There is a 400m kids race which will take place at 9:20 sharp, starting and finishing at the Pop Up Races finish line gantry.
    • Each finisher will receive 1 goodie bag and 1 finisher medal (kids and adults) There is a removable strip on your race number, you hand this in at the finish in exchange for your goodie bag. Please note that the medal is dated April 2020. As the race was cancelled weeks before it was due to run in 2020, we made the decision to use that years medal for our race this year. The reason for this was we want to maximise fundraising for the IGBF from this race and not to write down costs of these medals already purchased for the 2020 race. We hope you appreciate our rational and understand our decision. The IGBF is a not-for-profit charity and is totally run by volunteers and rely on the generous support of those volunteers and patrons. 
  • The Prize giving will take place at 10:30am in the entertainment area, where there will also be some food & drink stands offering complimentary samples of product. Prizes are 1st / 2nd Male and Female as well as 1st Child
  • There will be a bottle of water included in the finisher goodie bag, along with other drinks and snacks. There is no on course water, but you can of course carry a bottle yourself if you wish.
  • There will be bins situated all around the tented area and finish line, please use these as we are operating a "Leave no trace" policy at the event.
  • Results will be available on www.popupraces.ie in live time
Online registration remains open until 5pm, with further registration on the day, so bring the family or bring a friend, it promises to be a fantastic day.
