We are delighted to welcome you to the Grange Fermoy New Years Eve 10k at 12.00 noon on Saturday 31st December 2022. We look forward to welcoming you to Grange for our second race of 2022, and our second year to host the NYE 10k!

 

Please read the information below carefully.

Race Day Info:

  • AAI permit granted
  • Participants are requested to park in Fermoy town and either walk to the the start line at Grange National School (P61 K240), or take the shuttle bus from Amber Service Station P61 X395. Shuttle bus will run from 10:30.
  • There is no parking permitted at the school. Please obey the instructions of our stewards.
  • All numbers will be available for collection at Grange Fermoy Schoolfrom 10:00am on the morning of the race.
  • Threeportaloo toilets will be available near the start line.

Start line:

  • The start line is at Grange Fermoy National School.
  • Entries will be available on the day up to 11:30.

Prizes:

  • Cash prizes for 1st (€200), 2nd (€150) and 3rd (€100) male & female finishers and Wheelchair 1st (€50)

Breaking the course record will have an additional prize of €100

  • Category prizes for male and female Juniors (U20), Over 40/45/50/55/60/65/70/75/80.

Post Race: 

  • Goodie bag, water bottle, tea / coffee and  refreshments will be available at the school after the race. (Note: There is no water stop on the course).
  • In addition, Brew Boys will be set up with refreshments available to purchase.

 Miscellaneous: 

  • Online entry fees are non-refundable.
  • The informal swapping of race numbers is strictly prohibited.
  • Race numbers MUST be fully visible coming through the finish gate and if you do not have a race number do not run through the finish gate.
  • The wearing of headphones is strictly prohibited. Any runner wearing headphones will be published in the results as ‘headphone wearer’ and will not be eligible for any prizes.
  •      Numbers to be worn on the front of your singlet/t-shirt only.
  • The course will be marshalled by a large team of stewards. Please obey any of their instructions. This is to ensure the safe running of our event. Please note the roads will be open to traffic so normal rules of the road will be in force. The health & safety of all participants and spectators is our primary concern.
  • A dedicated 1st aid team will be in operation on race day.
  • The race route will be marked in kilometres.
  • Race results will be published on Facebook and PopUpRaces.ie
