Important Race Day Information
If you have not registered online before the race, there will be registration at Derry Rovers Track from 07:30 Sunday 13th July.
Registration on the day will close at 09:10 sharp.
For those who have pre-registered online, all Race Numbers and Tech T Shirts can be collected on the morning of the race at Derry Rovers Track.
If you opted for the postal option, you will have received your number and T Shirt by now.
The start line is just under 1km from Derry Rovers Track.
The start line is at St Mary’s School opposite MTC Solutions, 7 St Francis Street R45TY88
Parking
Free parking at the St. Marys secondary school (R45 TY36) entrance at the start line, Town Hall, JKL Street (along the harbour) School Lane or at Dunnes Stores (also beside the start line)
STRICTLY NO PARKING NEAR OR AROUND THE TRACK. PLEASE RESPECT LOCAL RESIDENTS AND DO NOT BLOCK ENTRIES TO HOUSES.
There will be toilet facilities at Derry Rovers track, at the relay changeover mile 5 and at the race starting point.
Water Stops
There will be water stops at approx 2.7, 5, 8 miles and finish line.
Pacers
There will be pacers for the following times. 1:10, 1:15, 1:20, 1:25, 1:30, 1:40. All our pacers are experienced runners and will help you achieve your race goal. Pacers will be identified by a yellow t-shirt and balloons (times on balloons)
Relay Teams
The runner doing the first leg of the relay must collect a wrist band from the registration desk on the morning of the race. They will need to pass this wrist band to the second relay runner at the relay changeover point. Medals can be collected only when the second relay runner crosses the finish line and presents the wristband to the volunteers giving out the medals.
A shuttle bus will be in operation to bring relay runners to and from the relay changeover point. The shuttle bus will depart from Derry Rovers Track (Registration Area) at 09:15 sharp.
The second relay runner must ensure that they take this bus at this time. The bus will then bring the first relay runners back to Derry Rovers where the finish line is to collect their medal with their relay partner.
Road Safety
Please be aware of traffic, roads will be closed from 09:30-11:30 only local access will be allowed during these times. Road traffic is expected to be mimimum so to ensure the safety of everyone please follow race marshal instructions. We will have race marshals at various points along the route, please listen to any instructions they might give you.
Cash Prizes and Categories
There will be cash prizes for male and female runners.
1st/2nd/3rd Overall winners
And for the respective age categories.

The Edenderry 10 Mile Frank Kilrane Perpetual Cups will be awarded to the first Offaly male and female winners.
There will be 1st prize trophies for the winners of the relay event.
Prize giving ceremony will take place at 11:15-11:30.
There will be no shower facilities available.
Refreshments
Tea/Coffee will be available from a local vendor, one free token will be given to each runner at the medal collection point. Spectators may purchase a tea/Coffee if they wish to.
Sandwiches and treats* will be provided for all participants and volunteers. Please put empty water bottles at the finish line only in the designated recyle bins and not with general waste please.
