The second annual Clonard 4 Mile Road Race, Fun Run and Community Walk is organised to raise additional funds for the continued development of Clonard GAA’s excellent new club grounds and walking track facilities in Clonard Village, Co. Meath. There were over 400 finishers in last year’s event and this year’s event will be even bigger and better. The 4 mile route is run on a beautiful looped course bringing participants around some beautiful roads of South County Meath. The route is predominantly flat. There are just two hills on the course which occur at the motorway overpasses of the M4/M6 which are a dominant part of the landscape of Clonard. The event is being organised by the Clonard GAA Club and Clonard Community Council as a community event for runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities to participate in. The 4 mile race distance is unique these days. The race will provide runners, joggers, fun-runners and walkers with a slightly longer challenge of 4 miles (6.43KM). Families are very much welcome.

Clonard is very easily accessed from all over Leinster as it is situated between Kinnegad and Enfield on the old N4. It is easily accessed by the M4.M6 motorway at Enfield or Kinnegad.

There is a beautiful commemorative medal for all finishers of the Clonard 4 Mile. Due to the popularity of the event last year this year all adults will be chip timed in the race.

Registration: Online registration is available for €15.00. Registration is available on the night of the race from 1745 – 19:15 for €20.00 – everyone over 16 years old is chip timed regardless whether they are running, jogging or walking. We encourage everyone to register online to avoid queues on the night of the race.  There is a special entry rate for U16 participants who will not be chip timed. U16s will register on the night of the race.

There will be car parking at the start/finish area within the GAA club grounds and the nearby parking area.
