The 14th year of the very popular Louisburgh event – The Clew Bay Half Marathon & 10K is an annual favourite of many and is a popular holiday destination along with a very popular pre-Dublin City Marathon run.

 

Louisburgh is surrounded by stunning beaches (to soak the muscles) with lovely pubs and eateries, close to Westport, and Croagh Patrick, and with items of historical interest – the run passes right by a 2,200 year old Dolmen! You’ll love it!

Half

Half

Number Collection: Itll all take place at Louisburgh GAA grounds and clubhouse (F28 D520)
Number collection will take place on Friday, 12th September from 6:00 – 8:30 PM
and on Saturday, 13th September (race morning) from 8:30 – 10:30
AM. Important: If numbers are not collected by 10:30 AM, you will not be able to
start the race or have an official timed run. If you cannot collect your number yourself before 10:30 AM, arrange for a friend to collect it on your behalf.

Safety Briefing:
There will be a mandatory safety briefing at 10:45 AM for both races. All participants are required to attend.

Race Start:
Both the Half Marathon and 10K will start at 11:00 AM.

Refreshments:
Refreshments will be available at the clubhouse, provided by Louisburgh GAA and
LGFA.

Facilities & Parking:
Toilets, changing rooms, and showers are available at the clubhouse. Parking is also
available at the clubhouse, with overflow parking organized if needed. Stewards will guide you to your designated parking area.

The buzz is building with record numbers of participants this year—remember to
watch out for your friends and fellow runners on the course.
