Back To Race List

After a safe and successful race in 2020, Charlestown 10k is back for its 9th year, organised by East Mayo AC and CBD sports complex.

A lovely fast flat course, which has resulted in many PB’s over the years.

There is ample parking at the CBD complex (finish line) and the race starts just 400m away at the Mace Garage/National School. Athletes will meet at the National School where there is plenty of space to line out in zones for a waved start. Zones will be predetermined based on expected finish time and this information will be emailed to participants a few days before the race.

We hope to offer refreshments outdoors after the race should Covid restrictions at the time allow.

There will be a bottled water station at the 5k mark and at the finish line.

Numbers are currently capped in accordance with guidelines and we except this to sellout fast.

Many thanks to our sponsor Liam Folliard of Murrays Bar for his continued and generous support over the past three years.

Medal for all finishers.

Note –The event will adhere to all Public Health Guidelines and Athletics Ireland guidelines at the time.

 STRICTLY OVER 16’s

(East Mayo AC are also hosting a Half Marathon on 16th October…. Check out PopUpRaces for booking and more info)
