The 2025 Castleknock 5km, sponsored by Nordam will take place on Sunday the 15th of June, Father’s Day, at 11am.
This wonderful local event really brings our community together and this year sees local community athletics club, Metro St. Brigids AC (MSB) come on board as race organisers.
2025 marks the 11th year of this growing family fun event and MSB volunteers are looking forward to welcoming runners and walkers of all abilities!
The MSB Castleknock 5k are delighted to announce our 2025 charity partner will be St. Francis Hospice.
Join us in June and make this a fun day out for all the family to remember.
The last day to avail of our €20 early bird offer for adult entries will end on February 14th. After this date the adult entry will increase to €25.
The under 16 entry will remain at €10 throughout.
The first 1000 online entries will receive a race t-shirt.
Important Information for Castleknock 5km Participants (2025)
A huge thank you to everyone for supporting the Castleknock 5km and making it a sell-out event! To ensure everything runs smoothly, please take note of the following:
*Arrival and Registration*
Arrival Time: Allow plenty of time to reach Castleknock College due to road closures.
*Number Collection*: If you haven’t received your race number, collect it from the reception area of Castleknock College between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. *No registrations will be taken on the day.*
*Parking:*
*Carpooling*: Please carpool or walk if possible to ensure sufficient parking for all participants.
*Facilities:*
- *Toilets*: Available in Castleknock College.
*Finish Line*: Located in Castleknock Village, approximately 1km from Castleknock College.
*Race Start:*
*Positioning*: Please be in the correct starting area based on your pace. The start is narrow, so be mindful of others around you.
*Wave Starts*: Ensure children are in the correct wave for their age group and ability.
*Race Details:*
*Pacers*: We have pacers for 20, 25, and 30-minute finishes.
*Hydration*: There will be no water on the route, so bring your own if needed. Water will be available at the finish line, courtesy of Refill.
*Finisher Rewards:*
- *Medals*: Every participant with a race number will receive a medal at the finish line (one per person).
- *Post-Run Refreshments*: Get Fresh will provide fruit at the finish line.
