F.A.Q. AND RACE DAY INFO. Welcome to Royal Canal Run Longford 2025 events. We are looking forward to another successful day on April 26th. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THERE ARE SOME CHANGES TO PREVIOUS YEARS. When does the Royal Canal Run Longford take place? The Race is on Saturday the 26th April 2025. How do I get there and where is HQ. LINK TO HQ. https://maps.app.goo.gl/zHLSE6K2ZrdYDswu7 Any changes made to your registration on or after April 15th will incur a €10 fee. NO EARPHONES ALLOWED ON THE COURSE. What time does the race start? Ultramarathon and Full Marathoners 5 hrs plus And Wheelchair athletes starting at 8.30am. Full Marathon and 10k starting at 10am.
Half Marathon starting at 11.30am Race Brief will be 30 min before the start of each race at HQ as there is a 10/15 min walk to each start. Where do I get my race number. All locals please collect numbers at HQ Friday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
At HQ on race morning open from 7.00am. Give at least 1 hr before race start time to pick up number. Will the race be chipped? Yes, the race will be chip timed by Pop Up Races. The course has been measured. Are there T-Shirts? Yes – Only pre ordered T-shirts available. Are there finisher Medals? Yes
Are there pacers? No.

Will I get an official time? Yes.
Will there be water stations. Yes.
As it's a 5.2k loop there will be 1 water station that you pass on each lap. Will there be other refreshments at water station? Yes we will have coke, jellies and biscuits etc.
Will there be refreshments available after the race? Yes. Fruit and water for all runners.
We will also have a coffee truck with snacks so please bring some €€€. Will there be Physios available after the race? Unfortunately No Will there be showers available after the race? There are no shower facilities. Will there be toilets? Yes there are portaloos at HQ and on the course. Where can I put my bag? We will have an area taped off on the course for bag drop at your own risk. Where can ultramarathon runners place a food box/bag? We will have an area on the course for food box/bag for ultra runners. Can I walk the course? Yes. Course will close at 3.30pm. Where does the race start? Meet at HQ and we will walk together to the start. Where does the race finish? Beside HQ.
When will the results be available? The results should be available immediately upon completion on the Pop Up Races website. What are the Prize
categories ? 1st male and 1st female in Ultramarathon 1st, 2nd, 3rd, male and female in all other categories.
