Portlaoise AC’s St Patrick’s Day 5K road race around the streets of Portlaoise. The course is a fast relatively flat course with a town centre finish.
Athletes who enter as junior athletes (at junior rate) are only eligible for junior prizes.
Athletes must be 16 years of age on the day of the race to take part in the 5km.
T-shirts are included in the entry fee for the first 400 registered.
All finishers will receive a medal

We would like to urge anyone living local or within an easy driveable distance to collect their number/t-shirt on Sunday to ease pressure and the queues on race day.
RACE NUMBER
Please wear your race number on the front of your t-shirt and on your outermost layer of clothing. Do not bend your number as it may damage the chip. Do not pierce the chip with your race pins.

***Portlaoise town will be very busy that day and some roads will be closed early as the Portlaoise parade is on. ***
Please allow enough time for parking, number collection and getting to the start line.

All kilometers will be marked with a sign.
We will have a photographer at these so make sure you smile...
TOILETS
Public toilets available at midlands park
& Portaloos will be available at railway bridge 200 meters from start line.
BAG DROP / CHANGING AREA / SHOWERS
Unfortunately we cannot provide these facilities this year.
Bags can be left in the registration room.
But HOTEL AND PORTLAOISE AC ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE....

There will be a water station just after the finish line.

Order of Malta and Civil Defence will be on our course along with over 50 stewards including members of the an Garda Síochána at junctions over the course.
