The Maynooth 10k / 5k is back!

With a brand new course starting and finishing at the new school campus on the Moyglare road.

 

Now in it’s 11th year with chip timing by Pop Up Races, accurate course measurement and professional organization, the event has gone from strength to strength. Organized by MEC PTA, the Parent teacher association for Maynooth Education Campus. This race is a fund-raiser for the upkeep of the school playing fields on the Moyglare road and a new astro at the new school Campus New collectable medal celebrating 50 years of Maynooth Post Primary school sponsored by Pearls Dental This year we’d like to encourage businesses and groups in the locality to enter teams and will offer a discounted entry.

 

Excellent Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Ladies and Men in the 10K and 5K

 

Number pick up and registration in the new school, Maynooth Education Campus, from 8am to 10am on Sunday April 3rd. Refreshments will be served after the race in the school (covid regulations permitting) Ample car parking, toilet facilities and cloakroom available at the school.

 

Entry fees are €20 for an individual or €40 for a family of 2 adults and one or more children. Discount for teams

Below is some information to help you make the most of the event.

Location
This year the start, finish, registration / number collection, refreshments and prize-giving all take place in the new Maynooth Education Campus, Moyglare road, Maynooth,  W23 P2R0. Attached is a map of the campus to help find your way.

Schedule
8 - 9.45am Number collection in Maynooth Community College (MCC) W23 P2R0
9.40am race warm-up at the astro pitch. 5k runners are asked to remain in the astro until the 10k has started
10am Race start for 10k with 5k a few minutes later
10.30am refreshments start
11.30am Prize-giving

New Race route
Please see course maps online at http://www.maynooth10k.ie/ or available from registration. There will be road closures along the route but please follow the instructions of the Gardai and race marshals and be mindful that safety is paramount for all involved. The race route will be clearly marked and marshalled along the way and there will be markers at each Kilometer.

Finish line
Medals, water and fruit will be given out at the finish line. Please look out for our sponsors Highfield Veterinary, Specsavers and Pearls Dentalhouse.

Car parking
There is car parking at the school campus, the neighbouring GAA grounds, the old MPPs building W23 HC66 and Maynooth University Moyglare road entrance W23 HC99. Please follow stewards directions.

Snoods
Will be available for collection at number collection before the race or at the finish line.

Toilets and cloakroom
Are available in MCC. Showers and changing rooms are not available

Post race Physio
Thank you to Eleanor Finn from Finesse for providing post-race massage in MCC.

Prizes
1st, 2nd, 3rd, Male and Female in each race

Results
As the race is chip-timed, your result will be available straight away and full results will be available online soon after the race ends on popupraces.ie
