South Galway Athletics Club are delighted to launch our new fast flat 5k Road race for 2018.The Gorgeous Gort 5k takes place on Sunday February 11th.The race will start at Georges St Gort and take you through the town and around the scenic hinderland via secondary roads.It will finish close to Gort Community centre not far from the start line.
The race route is Jones counter measured and Athletics Ireland permitted and chip timed.
Race starts @1.30pm and race entrants are asked to assemble at Gort community centre @1.20pm prior to being walked to the start line by our race marshalls.

As our race is on near Valentines day we have a special reduced rate for couples and a fantastic prize for the fastest couple of the day 💏
Technical tshirts (male and female fit) are guaranteed for entrants registered prior to February 1st.Toilet and shower facilities will be available at Gort community centre after the race. Tea coffee and lots of delicious treats will also be available at Gort community centre after the race.
